Send us the information we need to complete our Impact and Matching Assessment and Family Risk Assessment. This will be documents you will already have as part of care planning – we won’t ask you to fill in additional forms for us.
Pre admission / pre assessment visits - We will arrange to come out and meet the family – we really value this part of the preadmission process as it helps to put families at ease and encourages engagement with the service. If a family is moving into one of our residential assessment centres we can arrange a visit for them to look around.
Agree dates for admission / start date for community assessments or support and book in a placement / assessment planning meeting.
If you are working outside of normal working hours - there's a good chance we are too so you can still phone us. We understand that a prompt response is often crucial when making decisions.

Our standard residential family centre package is 12 weeks. However, our blended package is 6 weeks in the centre, followed by 6 weeks assessment in the community.
Our standard community package is 12 weeks.
Yes and we actively encourage social workers to consider us at the early stages. Pre-birth allows a family to get used to working with our team rather than adjusting to parenthood whilst also adjusting to being under assessment.
Assessing families at PLO stage allows Local Authorities to work with families and fully understand their needs with a robust and evidenced based assessment. Either care proceedings can be avoided, and if not, there is a comprehensive assessment enabling effective care planning more likely to meet the 26 week timescale.
We know our services better than anyone and you understand the family better than us at this stage, so lets work together to determine what we think would suit their needs best. Just give us a call to discuss and we can decide the most appropriate package for them.
As our residential family centres are registered and inspected by Ofsted, every staff member needs to have at least a minimum level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce Diploma, which must include mandatory social care units, or be working towards the relevant qualifications within six months of confirmation of employment.
We then contribute to this standard with specialist training in a range of disciplines.
